COURSE CRITERIA & REMINDERS
Successful completion of the final examination is required for course credit. The examination assesses comprehension of both Federal SAFE content and New York-specific mortgage laws.
- 100% Attendance and class participation is required.
- No refunds or credits are issued once class starts.
- Minimum passing score: 70%
- School Final consists of 25 questions with a 60 minute time allowance (This is in addition to the 20 Hours of instruction)
- The exam must be completed independently without assistance.
- Exam administration is monitored to maintain integrity and NMLS compliance.
- Failure to meet exam standards will result in no credit being reported to NMLS.
- After completing the Initial Final Exam if the student does not pass, failing to provide 70% of the correct answers, only 3 Retake Exams are permitted.
- Each Retake Exam consists of 25 questions of increased difficulty compared to the original Final Exam. Each Retake Exam must also be completed within the 60-minute time allowance.
